Covering over 70% of the Earth's surface, the oceans remain largely unexplored. Critical to the healthy functioning of the earth's eco-system, it is the oceans that enable Planet Earth to maintain a relatively constant temperature between night and day, and sustain life in the variety and abundance that it does.
Focusing primarily on the two oceans that wash the shores of southern Africa, the Earth-Touch Marine teams launch five days a week, weather permitting, to document the natural world underwater. From the warm tropical waters of the Indian Ocean in Mozambique to the colder, nutrient rich waters of the Atlantic on the west coast of South Africa, there daily stories and web reports represent a fascinating insight into the daily lives of the many creatures that make the shores and waters of this area their home.
Earth-Touch's Marine channel publishes a podcast of highlights. These podcasts can be subsribed to via i-Tunes and is available in HD as well as an iPod format.
